Mark’s Movie Club
As a 90’s kid who loves movies there’s nothing quite like a dusty old VHS. I have slowly been collecting tapes over the years that hold some degree of childhood nostalgia or just because the cover art is badass. Sitting next to my dad on a Saturday afternoon watching Beverly Hills Cops or Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom… father-son bonding in it’s simplest form. Not to mention the beautiful practical effects in these pre-computer generated blockbusters. Like the explosion at the end of Speed; I can feel the heat coming off the screen every time. Or E.T.’s creepy little finger.
I’ll visit thrift shops and bargain book stores whenever I'm road tripping but there are several titles I’m still on the hunt for. If you have any of the below movies and are willing to sell, shoot me an e-mail.
